Andy Xu

Co Founder and Creative Director of Three Collective Ptd Ltd Previously an Art Director at Ogilvy & Mather, Andy is the current Co-Founder/Creative Director of Three Collective Pte Ltd, an enterprise that provides thoughtful solutions for their clients in the area of Product Development, Packaging Design and Art Direction and Design Services. He is also a winner of the prestigious D&AD Yellow Pencil Award, along with 4 silvers at the 2012 Crowbar Awards.

Amanda Chan

Freelance Creative (Artephic) Ms Chan graduated from Loughborough University with honours in Graphic Communication. She is a purveyor of very, very pretty design, passionate about her work and an ambassador of creating arresting print and intuitive interactive projects. A MAD School Alumnus herself, she eases into the role of an informed and relevant lecturer to students.

Alastair Leo Tan

Master Practitioner, Neuro-Longuistic Programming With over 25 years of experience as a marketer, advertising and communications specialist, Alastair has worked in small, medium and multinational advertising, branding and communication agencies. From copywriting to the management of creative and client services teams, his varied roles and responsibilities have provided him with a solid foundation in this fast-paced and fast-changing industry. As a well-rounded and multi-faceted communication & brand specialist, his capabilities also include strategic planning, brand and agency management. His wealth of experience is also backed by numerous educational credentials. Alastair holds a Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling) from the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia and is a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). He is also an ICI certified Executive & Life Coach. Following that, Alastair majored in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is also trained in other modalities such as Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Redecision Therapy, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

Andrew Chow

Adrian Koh

With more than 10 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and business development, Adrian has developed award-winning campaigns for both MNCs and SMEs alike. Moreover, he is also a crowdfunding and marketing advisor for DBS BusinessClass, a regional business network run by Asia’s largest bank. Other than that, Adrian has also been part of award-winning teams in Evernote, Waggener Edstrom, FundedByMe, Djenee, and the Ministry of Defence. Andrew Tan

Creative Director | Grafichaus Intermedia , LL Andrew graduated in 2001 with a B.A. (Hons) in Graphic Design from the renowned Art Institute of Colorado, Denver in the USA, with exceptional grades. Scoring straight ‘A’s for the modules that he read, Andrew added a string of awards under his belt during his years of education to top off a litany of scholarships and multiple instances of Dean’s List and President’s Excellence List recognition. Some of these awards include the Best of Show Winner & Best in Advertising Winner in the Art Institute of Colorado Student Art Show 2000, as well as the Certificate of Par Excellence in his Institute’s Portfolio Graduation Show in 2001. However, Andrew’s stream of success continued even after he entered the workforce, where he was appointed Associate Creative Director within 5 years of his graduation, having worked as graphic designer for numerous agencies in the
US and Singapore prior. He then further boosted his success by clinching the Best Logo and Brochure Design in the prestigious 28th BAR Awards in Denver. In recent years, Andrew has been lecturing part-time in prominent design institutes, the subjects he tutors ranging from Visual Communication to Art Direction. He also currently helms Pocket Magazine as Creative Director and doubles as Associate Creative Director for Grafichaus Intermedia.

Angela Ng

Adjunct Lecturer Angela Is An Advertising/Marketing Veteran With 20 Years Of Experience. She Has Been In A Leadership Position For A Decade With Proven Business Results And Strong Team Management Skills. She Comes With A Wealth Of Extensive Experience, Having Been Well Expose 360 Degree In The Marketing Industry From Advertising Agencies, Media Vendor (As A Publisher) To Marketer/Client’s Roles. She Believes Her Success With People And Business Lies In Her Passion To Understand People’s Needs And Helping People To Grow From All Experiences. Driven By This Passion, Angela Had Been Wearing A Double Hat As In-House Trainer For The Industry Since Her Advertising Days For Over A Decade. She Has Also Lectured In Many Universities Including Peking University And Shanghai Jiao Tong University From 2007 To 2012. She Was A Spirited Speaker At The “4Th Rich Media Advertising Conference” In Shanghai (2008) And “Media 360 Summit” In Hong Kong (2015). Barry Seah

Commercial & Portrait Photographer Barry is a member of the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore). As a lead photographer in commercial and photography works, he is featured as one of the Canon EOS Professionals in commercial photography and was also the official photographer for Singapore Manhunt 2013, covering the event shots and portraits of the winners/sponsors. With his knowledge of photography equipment in and out of the studio, Barry also conducts tutorial workshops on hands-on photography, as well as branding talks.

Colin Lee

Senior Graphic Designer at Creative Eateries Pte Ltd Colin Lee’s 1st foray into graphic design was as a freelance designer in 2003; designing brochures and flyers. That was also when his love for photography developed and he started honing his skills for photography while on his job assignments After that, he made a commitment to delve into the industry, accepting a wide range of assignments and increasing the breadth of his experience. At the same time, he enrolled himself into Inspiration Design International Where he graduated with a Diploma (High Distinction). Colin is extremely proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Freehand in the Mac environment and an equally competent sharpshooter.

Christina Teo

Founder and Chief Community Builder of Startup Asia Women Community Christina is an experienced consultant, trainer and coach with solid senior executive management experience. Christina brings with her more than 25 years of executive management, marketing, business and human development in the IT, Internet, mobile, fashion and skincare industry. She has an extensive track record in developing regional strategies and tracking market developments, with a deep understanding of the markets and business models of consumer IT and large enterprise solutions; mobile products, as well as fashion and skin care retail. Consulting for UK-based BrandLearning, she engages with large corporates in consumer and pharmaceuticals to facilitate building in-house marketing capabilities. As a licensed Master Practitioner, she conducts training workshops in leadership excellence, negotiation, and sales/marketing using Neuro-Linguistic programming (NLP) and Everything DiSC tools. In the last two years, she has been involved in mentoring start-ups as well. Christina’s last corporate portfolio was as the Chief Marketing Officer of Hong Kong’s 2 and largest mobile service provider, CSL Limited, leading a team of 90 and directly accountable for selected consumer businesses contributing to 40% of the company’s total revenue – namely the devices and pre-paid business and directly responsible for pricing and marketing of all consumer products and services as well as supporting the marketing of B2B corporate services.

Cinthie Loy

Creative Director | Kingsfield-Asia Group of Companies She graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1995 with a Diploma in Graphic Design and worked for three years with a local design house working on book publications and marketing collaterals. In 2000, she obtained Bachelor of Arts (Design) with merit from Curtin University, Australia. Thereafter, she worked in Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and was promoted to the appointment of Art Director. As Art Director, she conducts research, conceptualized and directed the production of magazines such as HER WORLD, SIMPLY HER and SHAPE. Cindy decided to leave SPH to pursue commercial design and styling for corporate clients. Currently, she specializes in styling and art direction in various areas of the lifestyle and services industry. Cindy
also returned to her alma mater as an adjunct lecturer to teach Publication Design Module which consists of Design Principals, Typography, Page Layout & Grid system. Besides this module, she also teaches Digital Design & Layout to Animation Design and Interactive Arts students. Cindy had recently completed the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT), accredited by Cambridge International Examinations, UK. This was to prepare herself for developing training programmes/lesson plans for the role of a lecturer and tutor. Cindy strongly believes in keeping current in design concepts and thinking, reasoning and creativity. She hopes to be able to share, contribute and add learning value to others, at the same time to plug into the bigger learning network of like-minded professionals. Lastly, she also believes that adaptiveness and an international outlook in design and creative flair will make a difference to those who aspire to succeed and excel in this subject of study.

Cristobal Robert Hector Ruiz

Ronin, Director of Content Development at BAM! (S) Pte Ltd, Founder, Creative Storyteller of Frame 316 HD Filmmaking Robert is a creative technical ideator who uses current technology to his leverage in creating meaningful media. Robert has 12 years of experience in the creative industry from the web to print design and most recently through video. He has worked for South East Asian based organizations such as International Worship Institute Asia, Asian for Christ Movement, (AMEMA) Asia, Middle East, Micronesia & African region of his home church, Huper International, Malaya Kids Ministries, JIL Church Worldwide, ONE Singapore and also worked with US-based organization Raise Up Children Against Poverty, He had worked under his own brand Bread5 Studio since he moved to Singapore in 2007 and then as Project Executive in Turquoise before moving to Myles & More which is his current full-time job. Robert does a lot of freelance work on the side including, design, photography and conducting workshops for video and music related topics. He was then exposed to story-centric corporate videos in Myles & More and has managed projects such as The Bible Society of Singapore, ARPC Documentary, Our Better World and corporate videos for SMRT, Standard Chartered & OCBC. He was recently named top 15 finalists of Our Good Story Asia competition in Singapore.

Christopher Minjoot

Integrated Marketing Consultant A communications graduate from Monash University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Chris has 25 years of branding, marketing and communications experience in a wide range of industries including education, retail, lifestyle, entertainment, recruitment and events. Chris has worked with well-known local and international brands such as Takashimaya, Pico, Tower Records, and Sentosa Development Corporation. He was responsible for rebranding the education institute ALW (Accelerated Learning Worldwide) to MindChamps in 2005 and was a key member in spearheading its rapid growth to become the number one premium preschool in Singapore. A hands-on practitioner, Chris possesses the unique combination of strategic, creative, technical and writing skills critical for today’s integrated marketing needs. His skill set includes branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, copywriting, SEO and SEM, social media management, website development, audio-visual production, photoshop, as well as public speaking. Chris is currently a freelance consultant, servicing clients from various industries including education, medical, and hi- fi. He is keen to share his wealth of experience with others and is open to speaking and teaching engagements.

Eugene Chen

Creative Director at Elefant, Principal Creative Consultant Eugene M Chen has over 13 years of professional experience as Creative Director at various creative agencies. He currently runs his own boutique creative consultancy Elefant and is an associate creative director at RBW Advertising. Over the years he has developed numerous brand identity and systems as well as branding and marketing campaigns. Some projects and clients include the inaugural Asian Youth Games held in Singapore, SIA, Bintan Resorts, Citibank, NTUC Club, Li-Ning Singapore Open, Yeos, The Select Group & Sorci-age by Wacoal. Eugene holds an MA in Communication Management, a BSc Degree and a Cambridge Diploma for Teachers and Trainers.

Hairul Latiff

Creative Director at Pencil Mr Muhammad Hairul graduated from Loughborough University with honours in Graphic Communication. He espouses the belief that graphic design is about visual problem solving, and meeting the needs of the client. He will not teach students how to make something look cool, he will, however, teach the students how to sell a product or an idea visually in a captivating way. Mr Hairul intends to compel students to understand the heavy responsibility of the designer to do justice towards their design, their passion and most importantly to themselves.

Hamzah Alsagoff

Consulting Director Hamzah Alsagoff is a veteran advertising and communication practitioner with over 20 years of experience. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Hamzah comfortably transited to embrace digital or online new tools of communication. He is among the rare few who is a converger of old and new. He continues to help both sides - the traditional or offline practitioner as well as the current online disruptors - to cross over to integrate and converge, for today’s multi- touchpoint world of omni-channel, to match to the evolved new consumer consumption journey.

Ike Anand

Agency experience includes the likes of Ogilvy, DDB, Euro RSCG, Sapient Nitro, Iris, TPG, Squake, Maverick, Donor Cardwell Hawkins, etc. Client experience includes NTUC Insurance, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Intel, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Nokia, Vodafone, Sony, Sony Ericsson, Discovery, Unilever (Axe, Dove, Sunsilk), Reckitts Benckiser, Emirates, Audi, Toyota, Hino, Lexus, Hennessy-Moet, Jack Daniel’s, BlackBerry, Dewar’s, Bacardi-Martini. Like most creatives, Ike wishes he could clone himself in order to juggle briefs and meet deadlines. But when he does get some spare time, he is to be found in the gym. Jael Chng

Founder, Chief Problem Solver of My Working Title, Independent Consultant and Educator Being future-oriented and grounded in the present, Jael is always developing individuals, teams and organisations for now and the future. As a creative-analytic, she blends innovation and pragmatism to catalyse sustainable positive change. Jael is the founder of ‘My Working Title’ that empowers Millennials to advance their careers by developing their own career strategies. She runs her own independent Design Thinking, Brand Communication consulting practice and teaches Advertising and PR students at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Over the last 15 years, Jael has advised MNC, Government and Education clients such as Unilever, P&G, HP, Government Technology Agency and Ngee Ann Polytechnic on Integrated Marketing Communication, Design Thinking and Leadership Development. She also harnessed social technology for social good as Head of Social at Halogen Foundation Singapore. She is a pioneer in Digital Public Relations: a forerunner in social media marketing. Jael holds a B. Bus (Hons) in Business Studies (Marketing Specialisation) from Nanyang Technological University. She actively volunteers with National Youth Council and Halogen Foundation Singapore. She loves the colour orange, likes to eat gelato and enjoys the organised chaos of jazz.

James Chew

Interactive Media Designer | ACTA Certified Adult Educator James Chew began his career in the entertainment industry as a designer, before moving into teaching and training in corporate and higher learning institutions. He currently combines his interest in Interactive Media and Education Pedagogies as an Instructional Designer and Department Head, where he leads a group of designers in the development of websites and online learning contents.

Jensen Kok

Senior Manager at Ministry of Communications and Information Jensen is equipped with more than 20 years of working experience and has 18 years of experience in media productions, in areas of video productions skills and technical skills for broadcast engineering. He is also involved in numerous video contents productions, as the role of a producer, cameraperson and editor, and has produced many educational videos, corporate videos, TVC, communication videos, instructional videos, promotional videos, and events, etc. He also has a passion for teaching and has more than 5 years of teaching experience in various institutes like the Air-force School, Temasek Poly and Pathlight School, emphasized towards video modules like video editing, filming, multi-cam productions and content development, etc.

Joghee Bojan Jayaprakash

Nature & Wildlife Photographer Jayaprakash Bojan is a National Geographic Award winning Nature and wildlife photographer, After 18 years with the corporate world, he decided to quit and pursue his passion for travel and nature/wildlife photography. He is the grand prize title winner of the National Geographic nature photographer of the year 2017, Winner of the Singapore wildlife photographer of the year 2017 and several other international awards over the years. He has also been published by NatGeo, BBC and several other international magazines, He has also featured in a live TV interview with BBC talking about his award-winning images. His passion for nature and wildlife photography has also led him to work on conservation and he currently works with Orangutan Alliance an NGO that creates awareness on the plight of the orang- utans and habitat destruction in Borneo.

Johanna Esther Tay

Marketing and Events Manager at European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Johanna Tay has an addiction for learning which was not so evident during her years of milling around the English Language Department of the National University of Singapore. Since graduation, she has worked in both private and public education institutes in Singapore and overseas, and has taught a wide range of topics including academic writing & research, argumentative & persuasion skills, public relations strategies & practices and marketing. She continues to update her skills and is an ACTA "Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment" certified trainer (2017) and a Singapore Mediation Centre Accredited Mediator (2020).
Besides teaching, Johanna is involved in mentoring - volunteering with NUSS-NUS Mentorship Programme AY2020/21 and Advisory Mentorship because she has benefited from the mentorship of others. She has also been running a real estate agency business since 2018, learning the different business concerns of Small-Medium Enterprises during the course of her work. For her day job, she is part of a team at the European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore where she manages events and assists businesses of different sizes and industries, (mainly Multinational Corporations of European origins) in branding, marketing and advocacy work.

Justin Ong

Design Director at Chemistry (Singapore), Head of Communication at Aiducation International Justin Ong is a Singaporean photographer and alumni of the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography. Justin first discovered his fascination for cultural journalism during the weeks he spent living amongst people within the intricate alleyways of the Jakarta slums: His love for photojournalism and adventure led his work to grace the cover of Asian Geographic and features in numerous other publications such acquire, The GIST, Buro 24/7. In 2016, Leica hosted Justin's first solo show in Singapore, "Visions" Visions featured his journalistic work around Asia, from the regimented isolation of North Korea to the glorious mountains of Indonesia. Professionally, Justin juggles being a freelance commercial photographer and a photojournalist as well as an adjunct lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic where he first realised his love for still images, over a decade ago.

Kelly Marcus Tracy

Freelancer Director/Producer of TVCs, Former Executive Producer at MediaCorpDirector Marcus Kelly holds a Technician Diploma from Singapore Polytechnic as well as Certificates in Advertising, Media, Production, Copy-writing and Design & Presentation. He has more than 25 years of total “hands-on” experience in film and broadcast television production, mostly as a Film Director with major film production houses in the region, also as Executive Producer with MediaCorp. He has extensive experience with industry-wide exposure in the region (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia); specializing in directing on film & digital video for TV broadcast, corporate marketing, web, etc. He has won a 4 A’s Awards of Best Copy-writing, Design & Presentation. Currently a freelancer (Director/ Producer) of TV Programmes, TV Commercials, Corp & Web Videos, Show & Events.

Karin Aue

Design Director at Chemistry (Singapore), Head of Communication at Aiducation International Born and raised in Vienna Austria, Karin moved on to live, study and work in Rotterdam, Berlin, London, Zurich and Tokyo. At the moment she is based in Singapore. Her work is located between graphic design and illustration with a strong interest in visual storytelling and collaboration as well as human centred design. Karin has been working as a designer for international renown companies such as IDEO, KesselsKramer or O.M.A. As a freelance illustrator she has been able to establish a wide range of international clients like NOKIA, HP, IDEO, National University of Singapore to name just a few. Her passion for design with a strong impact and a clear social component can also be seen in projects such as the design blog aiming to connect, support and promote women in graphic design everywhere.

Kim Chua

Lee Hwee Geng, Mark

Photographer at Mediacorp Pte Ltd A dedicated and passionate individual, Mark has been in the photography scene for over 7 years. Originally working in an accounting firm, he started his photography journey a decade back and fell in love since. To pursue a career in photography, he gave up on a high-income job and dive into photography by landing himself a photography assistant role in a local giant publishing house – Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Magazines. He built a solid foundation as an assistant and eventually taking on shoots without the need of supervision for titles such as Nuyou, Her World, Home & Décor, The Peak, etc. An active learner, Mark went on to another local media powerhouse, Mediacorp, and gained valuable insights on the differences in editorial shoots. During his tenure as an in-house photographer, he is exposed to many opportunities and build a wide spectrum of portfolio ranging from food, fashion to portraits, local and regional celebrities and magazine covers. His effort is visible on 8 Days, i-Weekly, Motherhood and many other titles. At the same time, he explored various photography style and crafted his own creative style. While his interests lie in dark and edgy creative direction, his editorial photography background has trained him to be a versatile photographer, who is able to take on and digest complex brief that fits the shooting requirement. To hone his skills further, he left editorial photography in exchange for a short stint in commercial photography at a photography production house, A Pixels. The experience further strengthen his ability to work on branded content. Armed with an inquisitive mind, Mark took the leap of faith and venture into freelance photography in pursuit of his photography career.

Koh Soo Peng

Owner and Art Director of Nimbus Design Soo is the owner and art director of Nimbus Design, a local design and marketing firm. Since 1995, she has been working in the graphic design, advertising and public relations industries, honing her skills and sharpening her axe. From 2003 to 2007, she worked in Maryland and Washington D.C. (USA) as a freelance graphic designer at HZDG, and then as a lead graphic designer at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. Soo is the creative mind behind Tung Lok Group’s iconic “Shanghai Dreams” mooncake packaging, and some of her clients include Singapore Tourism Board, HELLA Asia Singapore, Auric Pacific Marketing and Lend Lease Retail. In September 2013, Soo created and launched a bimonthly kids’ magazine, Xobon (“No box” when read backwards), which encourages creative expression and imaginative play. This publication is circulated locally and overseas, including the United States, Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines. It showcases creative work by kids from around the world, such as Singapore, United States, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan.

The many leadership positions that I have undertaken in my career have also broadened my view on issues and given my work and life more colour. I am motivated and passionate when presented with challenges and desire to achieve the best possible result in the work I am tasked to manage.

Leonard Wee

Illustrator, Visual Artist Leonard Wee is an active visual arts practitioner on both traditional and digital platforms. He has worked alongside various visual artists and has also shown his work in the galleries of New York. Having based his practice in the local landscape today, he is working towards both a solo and group show in Singapore. Other than that, he is also a DesignSingapore Scholar who graduated from the School of Visual Arts with honours in Illustration. A firm believer that great imagery is a convergence of intellect, heart and skill, his interest lies in what it means and takes to make interesting and meaningful imagery as a creative in today’s time.

Lindy Wan

Creative Director Lindy has more than 10 years of extensive creative experience in prolific advertising and brand agencies. She is adept in brand and retail advertising, striding segments such as electronics, beauty/cosmetic, fashion, beverage and FMCG accounts. Throughout her career, from a junior creative to an Art Director, Lindy has contributed to the growth of the companies she worked at by winning and stabilising accounts. As an Art Director, she takes pride in guiding and grooming junior creatives. Since 2014, Lindy set up her own creative consultancy to adopt a more collaborative approach with different people from different industries and to explore the digital platform. On a personal growth level, Lindy has completed and achieved my Masters in Digital Media Management last year, as part of her belief in continuous learning and staying ahead. This learning journey has motivated her to impart knowledge to the future generations. As a lifelong student and teacher, Lindy believes in using methodologies to collaborate, social learn, observe and forecast trends to be future proof. Learning also has to begin with the right positive attitude, and as a facilitator, she takes it upon herself to motivate and engage learners.

Lim Boo Teck Eddie

Co Founder and Creative Director of AM MA Design Eddie is a practitioner of graphic design for both print and TV broadcast for most of his professional career. Illustrations have always been his biggest passion. He is proficient in not just traditional mediums, but also in computer software as well. After spending more than a decade in the press and magazine industry, he finally took a giant step and ventured into the unknown world of teaching. Being an academic associate in Republic Polytechnic enabled him to fulfil his aspirations to teach. In between teaching days, he does freelance projects to keep in touch with the industry. Eddie graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) with a Distinction in Communication Design.

Low Siew Thiam

Director at The Residences by Homestead Siew Thiam began a new career in business education in 1998 after handing over to his sons, operations of Homestead Furniture Pte Ltd which he had built to be the third largest furniture retailer in Singapore. His first lecturing assignment in 1998, was with the Singapore Institute of Management where he conducted lectures in Cross-Cultural Management for students from the Copenhagen Business School who came to Singapore for their summer “school”. In 2000, he was appointed a part-time lecturer by National University of Singapore for the Human Resource Unit of the NUS Business School. Siew Thiam taught every year at NUS HRM Unit until 2009. Siew Thiam has also taught for the University of Wales in Corporate Strategy and International Business at MBA level for UOW’s partnership programme with MDIS. He has also been a tutor for the Manchester Business School MBA programme. Overseas, Siew Thiam has lectured every year since 2000 for the Asian Institute of Technology in both Thailand and Vietnam. In terms of executive training, Siew Thiam has conducted many such courses in Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Thailand. He has also been a guest lecturer for INSEAD (at both their Singapore and Fontainebleu campuses), Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and Essec Business School (Singapore campus). He holds appointments as a member of the Advisory Board of the Asian Institute of Technology Extension and of Hoa Sen University in Ho Chi Minh City. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of International Business Ethics published by the Centre for International Business Ethics of the University of International Business and Economics based in Beijing. Before he went into education, Siew Thiam has had an extensive career in both executive life and as an entrepreneur. He first started work as a trainee journalist then went on to corporate life where he worked for a global corporation (Shell Eastern as HR Manager), a national corporation (Telecoms Singapore as HR Director) and a regional conglomerate (Sime Darby where he was first HR Director and later Marketing Director, responsible for both consumer (B2C) and industrial (B2B) marketing).
