A dedicated and passionate individual, Mark has been in the photography scene for over 7 years. Originally working in an accounting firm, he started his photography journey a decade back and fell in love since.

To pursue a career in photography, he gave up on a high-income job and dive into photography by landing himself a photography assistant role in a local giant publishing house – Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Magazines. He built a solid foundation as an assistant and eventually taking on shoots without the need of supervision for titles such as Nuyou, Her World, Home & Décor, The Peak, etc.

An active learner, Mark went on to another local media powerhouse, Mediacorp, and gained valuable insights on the differences in editorial shoots. During his tenure as an in-house photographer, he is exposed to many opportunities and build a wide spectrum of portfolio ranging from food, fashion to portraits, local and regional celebrities and magazine covers. His effort is visible on 8 Days, i-Weekly, Motherhood and many other titles.

At the same time, he explored various photography style and crafted his own creative style. While his interests lie in dark and edgy creative direction, his editorial photography background has trained him to be a versatile photographer, who is able to take on and digest complex brief that fits the shooting requirement. To hone his skills further, he left editorial photography in exchange for a short stint in commercial photography at a photography production house, A Pixels. The experience further strengthen his ability to work on branded content. Armed with an inquisitive mind, Mark took the leap of faith and venture into freelance photography in pursuit of his photography career.
